Transcription

A preacher went out hunting
Twas on one Sunday morn
Of course was against his religion
But he took his gun along

He shot himself some very fine quail
And one little measly hair
And on his way toward home he met
A great big grizzly bear

The bear sat down in the middle of the road
And he sat with a golden Cree
The coon got so excited
He climbed up a cinnamon tree

The bear sat down upon the ground
The coon climbed out on the limb
He raised his head to the lord in the skies
And these words he said to him

Oh Lord, did you save Daniel from the lion's den
You saved Jonah from the belly of the whale
Now it's good Lord I declare
Now Lord if you can't help me for goodness sakes don't you help that bear
