Transcription

We set sail from Elizabeth bound
And you shall understand
Your name was all written down upon a book
And we set for Greenland

A whale, a whale! The captain cried
A whale that is here below
Haul up all up you'll run and take a rope
And that'll give him a blow

They gave him a blow and down he did fall
Into the water low
His tail did it flourish and it mounted a blow
[unintelligible]

We feasted seven long weeks on the whale
With one one more [unintelligible]
We and drank more cheerfully
And gave God thank for all
