Froggie would a-wooing go
Whether his lover was wooing or no
So off she started with his nice new hat
On this road he met with a rat
Pray Mister Rat will you go with me
Kind Misses Mousie for to see
They soon arrived at Mousie's hall
And they gave a loud knock and they gave a loud call
[MacArthur suggests that Hastings sing]
Pray Misses Mouse are you within
Yes kind sir I'm sitting to spin
[Hastings explains: "And every while that comes in, 'uh-huh,' you know"]
Pray Misses Mouse may we come in
Yes kind sirs I'm sitting to spin
You sing us a song
But let it be something that's not very long
They soon
While they were making a merry din
The cat and the kitten come tumbling in
They cat she sees the rat with the crown
And the kitten pulled the little mouse down
This gave Mister Frog a terrible fright
So he picked up his hat and he bid them good night
Froggie was crossing a [unintelligible] brook
A little white duck came and gobbled him up
So that was the end of one-two-three
The mouse and the rat and the little froggie
Whether his lover was wooing or no
So off she started with his nice new hat
On this road he met with a rat
Pray Mister Rat will you go with me
Kind Misses Mousie for to see
