Ce soir j’ai du travail

Ce soir j’ai du travail
Il m’a dit sors sans moi
Je m’en suis allée toute seule au cinéma
Les actualités venaient de commencer
Au bras de ma meilleure amie tu es arrivé

Ils sont passés tous les deux sans me voir
Et devant moi ils sont venus s’asseoir
J’ai cru mourir ils se sont embrassés
Au beau milieu de ces animés Moi j’ai pleuré

Je suis rentré bien vite à la maison
Mes parents voyant mes larmes
M’ont posé des questions
J’ai été obligé de leur mentir
Pour leur dire
Quand le film est triste ca me fait pleurer

    The newsreel  had just started
    With my best friend on your arm you came in

Verse 2:  They passed without seeing me
    And they sat in front of me
    I thought I’d die--they kissed
    In the middle of the cartoon I cried

Verse 3:  I came home quickly
    My parents had seen my tears
    Asked me questions
    I had to lie to them
    By saying
    When the film is sad it makes me cry
