General Physical Description note:
Small stitch-bound ledger. 85 leaves. Grey cloth with printing on cover. Writing in blue and black ink on recto and verso of leaves 1-30, verso of leaf 42, recto and verso of leaves 43-44, recto of leaf 45. Leaf 26 loose from binding. Volume includes 5 loose leaves of paper from a different source. One 41/2" X 6" leaf with writing in blue ink on recto and verso; four 8" X 10" blue lined leaves each folded in half lengthwise to 4"X10". One leaf has writing on recto and verso in black ink, one leaf has writing on recto and verso in blue ink. Two leaves have writing on recto in blue ink.

Scope and Contents note:
French language song book manuscript attributed to Adelard Guay. Recto and verso of first leaf contain letter addressed to "Kim", Kim Chase of Burlington, VT, from J. Armand Guay dated October 18, 1980. Letter attributes contents to Adelard Gecoy, father of J. Armand Guay and describes the contents of the book, the creation of the book, and the context of the performance of the songs, as well as gifting the work to Kim Chase.
