Un gondelier dans le silence
Redisait son chant gracieux

In Venice during a fine evening
I traveled following the shore
My heart full of love and hope
I listened to the gentle rhythm
The sound of the harmonious waves
A gondolier in the silence
Was repeating his graceful song
