FAMILY - PHOTOGRAPH - Hod's wife was George Clark's sister, Alma. She never wanted to be photographed, and, I believe, she was somewhat of a recluse. She died recently after a long illness and we decided to approach Hod about a picture again. He was willing. When Neil made the appointment, he said that he would want to do the portrait outside, but when Neil arrived, Hod had decided to do it inside, perhaps because of the weather?
BACKGROUND - I notice on the wall behind Hod pictures of a son who was killed in World War II? and a framed message from Washington honoring him.
