Miscellaneous Notes
PHOTOGRAPH - Several years ago, when Neil did a portrait of Ruth with her sister, Agnes, Isabelle, who is Ruth's daughter, was not included. Since that time, we have gotten to know the family a lot better and Neil finally got his courage up and asked Isabelle if he could do a picture of her with her mother. She agreeed and Neil set his camera up in the middle of Route 30 in front of the house and did this portrait which the family loves. I do not know the name of Isabelle's illness. She cannot walk, but she does crawl, and she watches all the goings on of the center of town from the porch in the good weather and from a window in the bad weather. If she could only talk ... She must know the rhythms and habits of the center of town better than anyone else. I believe Isabelle is now in her fifties.
INTERVIEW - I did an interview with Ruth and Agnes in relationship to the Nellie Bushee collection of photographs. They helped me with many identifications.
