Miscellaneous Notes

PHOTOGRAPH - Mitch was curious about what other people had done for their portraits and wanted to know how many, if any, had tried something humorous. The jacket he is wearing is a family W.W. II pilot's jacket, and he is demonstrating flying signals with his hands. He is a pilot flying out of Burlington but is also involved in other enterprises. Some of the buildings on his property have been moved there, such as the renovated sugarhouse behind him in the photo, the building he lives in. He also has a music building, and I know from the Huletts that at one time he raised beef cows. Because of the winter conditions, Neil had to hike into his place on foot with all his gear. He doesn't keep his drive open in the winter. He was in the woods bringing down some wood on a toboggan, and Neil had to wait for him.
