Charles Griswold lives with his recent bride, Bea, just across the town line in Rupert. Since Charles was born in Pawlet and has preserved his mother's house in Town, he was invited to be photographed.
In the year after this image was made, a large group of hand-colored photographs of Minnie Griswold's house was completed.
