The landscape in the background looks southeast down the Mettowee valley. It is seen from a spot remembered by Tim as the place he was driven to as a boy by his father to test out the new four-wheeler(?). The view is mentioned as a favorite by Tim's grandmother, Ruby Leach, in her interview, since she could see her own homeplace's mountain landmark - Mount Aeolus.
PHOTOGRAPH - The light was fast fading and the one second exposures were almost impossible for Seth, who shook himself into a blur in the other five negatives.
