Gus was killed in a quarry accident in 1984, I believe - he worked in a marble quarry in Danby - he was Barnie and Marian Gould's son.
REFER - Joan Morey family portrait. Gus was Joan's brother. We do not have a picture of Barnie or Marian, who are also deceased now. Barnie had cancer of the throat and was very disfigured by it, and, for that reason, resisted having a picture done. He later shot himself. Marian was also very unwell and has died more recently, although I think she was still alive when Gus was killed.
