INTERVIEW EXCERPT

Judson:

"I liked farming all right. Farming was some different them days than it is now. You had to do a lot of it all by hand. Now they've got a seat that you can sit on and ride. Used to cultivate all the stuff with a horse and cultivator and now they don't cultivate nothin'. Got a weed killer that a fella come right along and sprays the whole thing after they get it planted and that's all they do. That's a good scheme. Used to stab all the corn in by hand with a stab-planter, four or five kernels at a time - plant potatoes. God - wonder I got any arm left."
