“Le poitrinaire” [“Le poitrinaire”; “The Comsumptive”; or “Le Rêve du poitrinaire”; The Consumptive’s Dream”] is a sentimental, melodramatic French song with lyrics by Edmond Morny and music by Paul Poyaud. The earliest known printing of this song dates to 1904, published by H. Pascal in Paris. Poyaud was actively writing published songs in France between 1876 and 1904; no biographical information has been found for either author, nor any sound recordings of this song
